This session will explore policy issues, concerns, and benefits of using statistical sampling in sales and use tax audits for the novice or expert. It will also cover: treatment of credit invoices; treatment of procurement card and ERS transactions; treatment of missing documents; and treatment of non-recurring errors. The speakers will also review policies and strategies to allow the same sampling for determining tax due to be used to generate refunds.
